Four people were injured after a shootout that happened on Thursday around 13:40 in Podujevë, as the Kosovo police reacted today officially giving details about the event and the checks carried out after the conflict.
According to the Kosovo Police, three of the injured are suspected to have been directly involved in the incident, while the fourth person was a bystander who was hit during the incident. All received medical treatment.
At the scene, police officials seized three firearms and 28 cartridges. However, subsequent raids on the suspects’ properties revealed an additional arsenal of weapons and ammunition.
During the search, two magazines with 58 rounds, two other magazines with 27 rounds, two short guns with 82 rounds, and a shotgun with 49 rounds were seized.
The case has been initiated for the criminal offenses “Attempted aggravated murder”, “Carrying weapons without a permit” and “Destruction or damage to property”, while the investigations of the Kosovo Police are ongoing for the full disclosure of the circumstances of the incident.
