Four people were injured as a result of an incident with firearms, which happened this Thursday around 1:30 PM in Podujevë.
According to the authorities, three of the injured are directly involved in the conflict, while the fourth person is a bystander, who was hit during the incident.
All the injured have been transported to the Kosovo University Clinical Center (QKUK) in Pristina, where they are receiving medical treatment. Although they suffered serious gunshot wounds, their condition is currently reported to be stable.
The director of the Regional Directorate of Police in Pristina, Basri Shabani, announced that immediately after receiving the notification, police units went to the scene and started investigations.
“Regarding the motive, we still cannot give a confirmation, as we are in the initial phase of gathering information. The people have family ties and this could be one of the tracks of the investigation, but at the moment we cannot say anything for sure”, stated Shabani.
The Kosovo Police continues operational-investigative actions to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and to identify the persons involved in the incident.
