“I have no information that he resisted, and he is cooperating with the police. The man is currently detained, we will interrogate him and carry out the necessary procedural actions with him and find out all the circumstances of the whole situation,” police spokeswoman Barbora Schneeweissová told Novinka.
On Tuesday evening, it became clear that the man had no weapon with him at the time of his arrest. Police spokeswoman Michaela Richterová stated that she will release more information on Wednesday.
According to information from Novinek, the police arrested the man around two o’clock in the afternoon in the Prague district of Třebešín in Strašnicespecifically in the street K Červenu dvoru. There, for several hours, they guarded one of the apartments, where an acquaintance of the detained man, whom the wanted teacher was allegedly heading for, is supposed to live. This was confirmed – he was arrested on the spot by the emergency unit.

News managed to find out that at eight in the morning a man, who according to the police was in a bad mental state, appeared at one of the companies in Brandýs nad Labem. He stayed there for a while, chatting with an employee, and then suddenly quickly disappeared. He was supposed to move with a blue fabia.
In this place, he was seen wearing a red cap, a light jacket and dark clothes and with a large bag, as the police showed on the X network around 9:40 in the morning. The police intensively searched the area with the help of a helicopter, but did not find the man there, apparently he had already driven away in one of the cars.
A little later, at 10:27, the police wrote that the man borrowed another vehicle – a red Renault. This was later found according to the Aktu.cz agency in Prague’s Troja in the parking lot at the entrance to the Blanka complex.
The original blue car was found in the village Jíkev in Nymburkseveral dozen kilometers from Brandýs and Čelákovice. Meanwhile, sixty patrols from two regions and Prague were looking for the man.
The teacher thus drove several tens of kilometers. How he got to Strašnice, when he left his car in Troja, is not yet clear.
“Now we will find out all the circumstances and details of the whole situation. We will publish more information in the course of tomorrow,” added the police officers on the X network.

Due to the search for the erratic man, the protection of ministries and the Government Office was also strengthened. One children’s event in the vicinity of Brandýs nad Labem was also guarded.
During the morning, the police also patrolled the nearby elementary school in Čelákovice. Around noon, parents or grandparents also began to gather there. “My daughter called me, if I didn’t pick up the grandchildren, I’m here,” an older man confirmed to Novinkám on the spot.
The situation was resolved on Tuesday by the management of Čelákovice. “The mayor and I were members of the crisis team from 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and we continuously received all the information from the police. Therefore, we cannot have any criticism towards the police,” Čelákovic vice-mayor Petr Studnička told Fairpress.
