17 embassies and 13 consulates of Kosovo in 18 countries have opened their doors from 07:00 in the morning to receive registered citizens from the diaspora who have chosen this voting method. The process lasts until 19.00 this evening.
“We invite all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo who are registered to vote abroad, to participate in the election process and exercise their democratic right to vote. Your participation in the election is an important contribution to democracy and the future of our country”, – says the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo.
According to the Central Election Commission, 27 thousand 724 citizens have registered to vote in the 30 diplomatic missions of Kosovo.
Meanwhile, the process of voting by mail for over 104,000 voters registered abroad also ends today.
After the completion of the process, all ballots collected in embassies, consulates and through the post office will be transported to Kosovo, where they will be counted.
Meanwhile, the election institution also informed that the election material is being distributed throughout the country, which includes the ballots, the final lists of voters and the stamps, which are placed in the Municipal Counting Centers and will be sent to the Voting Centers on Sunday, before the start of the voting.
On Sunday, the citizens of Kosovo will turn to the ballot boxes to choose the new composition of the Assembly and the future government of the country.
