“The weather will resemble early spring, Thursday’s highest temperatures will even reach 14 °C. After the passage of the cold front, Friday will bring a significant drop in air temperatures, but we will attack the 10 °C mark again on Sunday,” said the meteorologist at the end of the week.
On Thursday the influx of warm air from the southwest will peak in our territory. After the morning mists disappear, it will be cloudy to partly cloudy. Cloudiness will gradually increase from the west and rain will increase, which will turn into snow in the evening in the mountainous areas. However, the maximums will be very high, between 10 and 14 °C.
“The temperature record from Prague’s Klementin is from 2014, when they measured 13.4 °C there,” Honsová recalled.

On Friday it should be cloudy, with rain in places, which will turn into snow from altitudes above 600, later even 400 meters above sea level. Morning lows will reach 5 to 1 °C, in the afternoon it will be between 2 and 6 °C.
On Saturday it should be cloudy to partly cloudy, occasionally with snow. Morning temperatures will range from 1 to -3 °C. In the afternoon they reach 1 to 5 °C.
Sunday will offer prevailing cloudy to cloudy with rain, which will turn into snow from higher altitudes. Morning lows will drop to 3 to -1 °C, during the day they will climb to 4 to 9 °C.
“The beginning of the Christmas week will bring a slight cooling, when colder and wetter air will flow to us from the northwest,” added Honsová.
On Monday so it will be mostly cloudy with occasional snow showers, which will turn into mixed precipitation at lower altitudes. The lowest temperatures will reach 1 to -3 °C, during the day they will most often range from 1 to 5 °C.
On Tuesday on Christmas Day it will be mostly cloudy, occasionally with snow showers, in the lowlands with rain and snow. The morning lows will remain between 1 and -3 °C, during the day, as on Monday, it will most often be between 1 and 5 °C.
On Wednesday at Christmas it will be cloudy, with rain in some places, and snow on the mountains. Morning temperatures will drop to 2 to -2 °C, in the afternoon they will reach 3 to 7 °C.
