A concert consisting of Turkish melodies by Turkish artists Sinan Ayyıldız and Tolgahan Çokulu met with art lovers in the city of Mitrovica in the north of Kosovo.
Many art lovers attended the event held at Mitrovica Culture House, organized by Mitrovica Electric Guitar Academy and with the support of Yunus Emre Institute (YEE).
In his statement to AA correspondent, Çokulu said that they have given concerts in many parts of the world, in more than 10 countries.
Stating that they have been giving concerts with Ayyıldız for 10 years, Çokulu said, “We have given concerts in many places, but we are very happy to give our first concert in the Balkans in Kosovo.” he said.
Ayyıldız emphasized that in the concert, in addition to Turkish melodies and their own compositions, they performed melodies from different geographies such as the Caucasus, the Balkans and even Ireland.
During the concert, Ayyıldız performed works such as Tutam Yar Elinden, Karadeniz Rhapsody, Haydar Haydar, Fidayda and Al Yazılım with his double-necked baglama and multi-adjustable microtonal guitar.
Kosovo art lovers applauded Ayyıldız and Çoklu at the end of the concert, which lasted approximately 1 hour.
