A serious event took place in Malishevë, where three people lost their lives as a result of the explosion of a gas cylinder in an apartment.
The news was confirmed by the Police Director for the Gjakova Region, Lumni Graishta, who announced that the victims are a 35-year-old man and his two children, aged 9 and 12.
“We have three victims: the 35-year-old father and his two children aged 9 and 12,” Graishta declared.
According to the authorities, around 12:55 a fire incident was reported in a residence in the “Mirëdita” neighborhood in Malishevë. Immediately after the announcement, police units, firefighters and emergency teams arrived at the scene.
Police spokesperson, Sheremet Elezaj, announced that three male persons, one adult and two children were found at the scene, who were transported to the Family Medicine Center in Malishevë, where they were pronounced dead.
The fire was localized by the firefighters and no further spread or other material damage was reported.
The State Prosecutor’s Office has been notified of the case, while the authorities have launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances and causes of this tragedy.
