The winner of three billion is already known. The betting office wrote him an email

“He is a registered, verified customer. We know his identity and we have already informed him by e-mail. But he has not contacted us yet,” Allwyn Česko spokeswoman Dita Stejskalová told Novinka about the winner.

For his safety, the company does not want to disclose details of his identity, such as the region where he lives, as the amount involved is high.

However, the winning amount of 2.911 billion is not exactly how much he will get in the end. It is calculated gross and is subject to fifteen percent taxation. “We will deduct a tax of 436.65 million for the winner before payment,” confirmed Stejskalová.

Even so, the person in question will be left with over 2.474 billion crowns.

For comparison, according to the latest ranking of domestic billionaires, published by Forbes magazine in February, the richest Czech possessed a fortune of 533 billion. He was the arms magnate Michal Strnad. The hundredth richest, lighting technology entrepreneur Ladislav Petřek, had 4.8 billion crowns. That is, roughly twice as much as the current winner.

The betting company can pay him the money all at once or in parts. It depends on him. “We offered him various types of professional help, from psychological to legal to financial,” explained Stejskalová.

According to her, but also according to economists and analysts, the winner should follow some fundamental rules. “The basic principle is not to tell anyone about it. When someone is known to be rich, it becomes public, and in addition to those interested in a ‘loan’, it can also attract the attention of people with a criminal past or well-rounded ‘advisors’ who will try to extract money from them,” advised Pavel Peterka from the investment company XTB.

As far as investments are concerned, according to him, the amount of 2.5 billion crowns is so high that its owner does not have to risk so much to double or triple the value. “So I would rather choose a strategy that will generate a lot of money in the long term,” he said.

Having money in one place is not appropriate

According to him, the investments will depend a lot on the advisers, who should preferably be from some strong and stable institution, while it is also suggested that they will need to be from abroad, for example from Switzerland. It is best to spread it among several advisers so that one does not bet everything on one. “And they should be people who already have experience managing the money of billionaires,” he described the situation.
