President Pellegrini will award state honors for the first time in office on Saturday, and Studenková confirmed that she was one of those addressed.

For example, Minister of Culture Martina Šimkovičová (nominee of the Slovak National Party) dismissed the general director of the Slovak National Theater, Matej Drlička, and the director of the Slovak National Gallery, Alexandra Kusou.
Mass demonstrations were held against these steps and a petition for the dismissal of Šimkovičová was signed by almost 200,000 people. Over four thousand cultural workers have been on strike alert since autumn.
