Sultangazi Municipality ‘Disaster Support and Logistics Distribution Truck’ turned its route to the Balkans to unite our compatriots at iftar tables. The meals prepared in the truck will reach thousands of people at iftar tables to be set up in ten different locations in Bulgaria and Greece.
The Disaster Support and Logistics Distribution Truck, which was purchased for rapid response in disasters and emergencies and has a capacity to deliver meals for 15 thousand people, set out to prepare iftar for our compatriots in the Balkans. The meals cooked in the truck will be served to thousands of people at iftar tables set up in ten different locations in Bulgaria and Greece.
From cold storage to oven
While food can be cooked for 15 thousand people in the truck; There are also 2 separate cold storages where meat and fruits can be stored safely. The truck also has an oven to produce bread.
Disaster truck in the Balkans during Ramadan
Sultangazi Mayor Abdurrahman Dursun said, “Our Disaster Support and Logistics Distribution Truck serves not only in emergencies, but also with such good works. Last year, we carried our iftar tables to the Balkans. This year, we did not want to leave our brothers in the land of the Son of Fatihan alone. We wanted to share the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan, the month of abundance and mercy, with our brothers in the Balkan lands. We will serve our compatriots and brothers in the Balkans during Ramadan. “Our truck will reach thousands of people.
