The Ministry of Youth and Sports Provided 10 Million TL in Cash Aid to 165 Sports Clubs in Edirne

The Ministry of Youth and Sports provided 10 million lira in cash aid to 165 sports clubs in Edirne.

The program held at the Youth Center began with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem.

Athletes performed in traditional archery, kickboxing, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball and basketball.

Governor Yunus Sezer said in his speech that the Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak conveyed that he would provide all kinds of support to amateur sports clubs during his visit to the city.

Asking for a promise from the athletes to make Edirne the sports center of the Balkans, Sezer said, “We also promise to make Edirne the sports center of the Balkans in all branches. Our support for our athletes will always continue, good luck to all of you.”

Following his speech, Sezer presented the symbolic check for 10 million lira to the amateur sports club representatives.

AK Party Edirne Deputy Fatma Aksal, Youth and Sports Provincial Director Selim Ak, People’s Alliance Edirne Mayoral candidate Belgin İba, Amateur Sports Clubs Federation Edirne President Muzaffer Yıldırım and athletes attended the program.

After the program, the athletes and the protocol chatted and took photos.
