The Special Prosecutor’s Office of Kosovo has investigated the acting Minister of Industry, Enterprise and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, as well as two other officials, Irfan Lipoviva and Hafiz Gara, on suspicion of involvement in several criminal offenses related to the misuse of official position and the disclosure of official secrecy.
According to the prosecution, Lipoviva and Gara are accused of having misused their official duties for the financial benefit of other persons during the months of February-March 2022, causing damage to the state budget in the amount of 2,912,134.78 euros.
The former deputy secretary of MINT, Irfan Lipovica, and the director of the Department of State Reserves in this ministry, Hafiz Gara, are also suspected of violating the law by revealing official secrecy and abusing their positions.
“Even though they were aware that the location of the state reserves is a state secret, according to the Law on State Reserves of Goods, they intentionally made this information available to the defendant RM”, the announcement states.
