They received a report about the disappearance of a seventy-three-year-old woman on Thursday from the mayor of one of the municipalities in the Kroměříž region. There were several question marks. The subsequent investigation had a rapid outcome.
“In connection with the disappearance of the senior woman, we arrested a middle-aged man on the same day. During the investigation, we found out that the man killed the woman in her family home on an as yet unknown day. He then took her body to a remote place and buried it in the forest, which was subsequently confirmed,” police spokesman Radomír Šiška told Novinkám on Saturday evening.
The man, as he further stated, is being prosecuted in custody. “We cannot publish other circumstances of the case yet, in view of the ongoing investigation,” he added.
