The June 7 elections in Kosovo, the CEC approves the addresses of postal boxes for voting in 22 states

The Central Election Commission (CEC) in Kosovo has today approved the addresses of postal boxes for voting by mail for citizens of Kosovo living abroad. The postal voting process will start on May 25 and end on June 6.

The mailbox will be operational in 22 countries, including: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Hungary, Italy, Canada, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, United Kingdom, Norway, United States of America, Albania, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey and Switzerland. Apart from them, the permanent mailbox of the CEC in Kosovo remains functional.

In the same meeting, the CEC also approved the operational security plan for the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo. This plan aims to ensure a regular and safe electoral process, through inter-institutional cooperation, coordination with law enforcement agencies and management of eventual situations during the process.

Also, the Commission approved the training program and curriculum for the staff that will be engaged in the elections, including trainers, members of Polling Station Councils, mobile voting teams for people with special needs, enumerators in the 38 Municipal Counting Centers and the staff of the Counting and Results Center. The program aims to equip these persons with knowledge of all voting and counting procedures, including conditional voting and packaging of electoral material.
