The Foreign Ministry of Kosovo will lead the dialogue with Belgrade

The European Union’s special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Peter Sorensen, met yesterday in Pristina with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca.

According to the MFA announcement, Konjufca informed Sorensen that the dialogue process will be led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo.

During the meeting, the current state of the dialogue and the necessary principles to make it effective and sustainable were discussed.

Konjufca emphasized that Kosovo remains committed to seeing the dialogue as an opportunity to advance relations with Serbia, as two sovereign states on their way to European integration.

According to the KoSSev portal, Sorensen’s visit was not announced to the public. It is not yet known how long he will stay in Kosovo or if his next destination will be Belgrade.

Sorensen visited Kosovo for the last time at the end of January, while on February 11 his mandate as the EU’s special envoy was extended for another two years.
