The Deputy Minister of Education in North Macedonia guarantees: Students will take the exam in the Albanian language

The Deputy Minister of Education in North Macedonia, Driton Sulejmani, also the spokesperson of the “VLEN” coalition, has guaranteed that Albanian students will have the opportunity to take the jurisprudence exam in the Albanian language.

In a direct link on the show “3D” with Alban Dudushi, he said that the government has undertaken to solve the problem after the first student protest.

“It is not the issue of protests, but the government, after the first protest, has undertaken to solve the problem faced by Albanian students in law faculties. The students have also held a meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister, Bekim Sali, as well as with the two co-chairmen of ‘VLEN’. Within this, a commission has been created by the government with experts who are finding a legal solution, so that finally Albanian students can take the jurisprudence exam in the Albanian language.” Suleimani declared.

He clarified that this is not a new problem, but a recurring situation over the years, as he said “This is not a problem that arose today, but all the Albanian students who graduated from this faculty, from the time of independence until today, have taken the jurisprudence exam in the Macedonian language.”

The Deputy Minister accused former DUI ministers of hiding behind the protests.

“Unfortunately, former DUI ministers are hiding behind this protest, because they are not able to organize protests themselves, they have no credibility and have found an opportunity to hide behind them.”

Guaranteeing the Albanian students, he added that the work of the government is not limited to the jurisprudence exam, but as he added “We are working not only on the bar exam, but we are also finding other professional solutions that are also given only in the Macedonian language.”
