The Day of Strength is marked in Kosovo – “FSK, successor of the KLA, guarantee for the defense of the country”

“The Kosovo Security Force is the guarantee for the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country and the successor of the KLA”. This is what the heads of state of Kosovo declared, while they participated in the activity of the KSF to mark the “Day of Strength”.

“Our army today is a worthy and proud successor of the Kosovo Liberation Army. Of the boys and girls who laid the foundations of our freedom, and today these boys and girls you see make us proud not only within the country, but also wherever they serve… We are proud of their work and they are the most powerful guarantee together with the Kosovo Police and other security institutions for sovereignty, territorial integrity and the protection of our citizenship and the protection of every citizen of Kosovo”, said the president Vjosa Osmani.

“It is a continuation of a glorious history of our people and the direct legacy of the Kosovo Liberation Army. We are proud that the KSF remains the most reliable institution in the country, due to their excellent work and dedication to security”said Dimal Basha, Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo.

“Over 430 million euros is the investment in weaponry and equipment in these last four years. Before, our army only had machine guns and revolvers. This means that it was less equipped than the Kosovo Police itself. Meanwhile, it is now equipped with modern technology, and this is just adding up, since we now have more than doubling the boots on the ground of our soldiers and eyes in the sky because we have equipped the army with drones and we will soon have the ‘made in Kosovo’ ammunition factory. In particular, the Javelin anti-tank system from the USA should be emphasized. We are in the process of receiving Black Hawk helicopters from the USA. This is the moment to thank our allies, in particular the USA, for supporting us with weapons and ammunition.“, said the acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

The Kosovo Security Force opened its doors to the public, where it exhibited its military capabilities. Among the many visitors, the interest of students from primary schools was noticed.
