The Czech hit Kingdom Come: Deliverance II made its way among the best games in the world

If there were ever debates in the past that the one-eyed won among the blind, this year it is a battle of titans and all categories are inflated. A number of nominated games will be remembered for years to come, as they determine the future direction of the gaming industry. And that didn’t make it to some very successful titles, such as the jumping game Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound or the soul game Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

The game of the year should be unique in all aspects, from creative content to technical processing. The adored Kingdom Come: Deliverance II from the Czech studio Warhorse Studios also earned a nomination, but it is up against very strong competition.

For the title of game of the year, it will compete with Kojima Productions’ visionary Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, Team Cherry’s jump-starter Hollow Knight: Silksong, which will get under your skin, Supergiant Games’ addictive action rogue-like adventure Hades II, Nintendo’s 3D platformer Donkey Kong Bananza, and Sandfall Interactive’s creative hit Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which will be among the favorites in many categories when announced.

It competes in several categories

In addition to the main category, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is also nominated for best RPG and best story. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Death Stranding 2: On The Beach will again be the biggest rivals for the story, and for RPGs, another battle is expected, especially with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

The game Kingdom Come: Deliverance II itself is set in the beautiful and dangerous world of Central Europe in the 15th century. It offers a real RPG experience in an open world, as the player solves tasks in different ways, while developing the player character Jindřich ze Skalice according to his actions, which also shape the world around him.

“Kingdom Come: Deliverance II’s combat system has been reworked to make it more accessible, while staying true to its nature – it’s a representation of true medieval martial arts, from elegant swordsmanship to deadly shooting attacks, such as the newly added crossbows and early gunpowder weapons,” state the creators.

In the review on the Fairpress.cz server, the second part of Kingdom Come rightly received a rating of 100%, because it is one of the best RPGs in the entire gaming history.
