Technology Move from Digitalpark to the Balkans

Digitalpark Teknokent, one of Türkiye’s technology and innovation centers, has accelerated its work abroad in order to increase its effectiveness in global markets and strengthen its role in the international entrepreneurship ecosystem.

According to the statement made by Digitalpark Teknokent, a cooperation protocol was signed with INNOX Innovation Center within the International Balkan University operating in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. The agreement was signed by Digitalpark Teknokent General Manager Prof. Dr. Tahsin Engin and International Balkan University Board of Trustees Chairman Assoc. Dr. Bilal Sucubaşı signed it at Digitalpark Teknokent Ataşehir Campus.

It was stated that the INNOX Innovation Center established in North Macedonia serves as a bridge between the Balkans, Europe and global innovation ecosystems, and it was reported that the “Bridge To Balkans (B2B)” regional acceleration program will be implemented within the framework of the agreement.

The program aims to strengthen the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in Turkey, North Macedonia and the Balkans, and to contribute to the expansion of innovative ideas to regional and global markets by bringing together entrepreneurs, mentors and investors from Turkey and the Balkans.

In this context, acceleration programs for entrepreneurs, training and mentoring activities, ecosystem meetings and networking events, international business development activities, participation in European Union-funded projects, digital transformation and artificial intelligence-focused venture supports, and joint promotion and communication activities will be carried out.

Digitalpark Teknokent General Manager Prof., whose views were included in the statement. Dr. Tahsin Engin said, “INNOX will serve as an important bridge between the Balkans and the European and global innovation ecosystems. We aim to establish a strong technology and innovation bridge between Turkey and the Balkans with the ‘Bridge To Balkans (B2B)’ program. While supporting Turkish entrepreneurs to open up to global markets, we also aim to create a stronger bond with the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Balkans. We want to contribute to the development of the ecosystem in the region by combining the knowledge and experience we have gained in Türkiye with the potential in the Balkans.” he said.

We will provide workspace and coworking services for entrepreneurs and investors from Türkiye and the world at the INNOX Innovation Center, which is located in the center of Skopje and has an area of one thousand square meters. We aim to contribute to the emergence of new ventures and investments by identifying and bringing together entrepreneurs in the Balkans. Located in the center of Skopje, INNOX Innovation Center will offer facilities such as co-working offices, private offices, meeting rooms and event spaces in an area of ​​1000 square meters. Thanks to collaborations with universities, financial institutions, companies, international networks and technology parks, the center aims to create a strong connection point between the Balkans and Europe and innovation ecosystems.
