EDIRNE – Snow continues to affect Edirne, which is under the influence of cold and rainy weather coming from the Balkans.
The snowfall, which starts lightly in Edirne from the morning hours, increases its effect from time to time. In the city, which was affected by cold and rainy weather, the snowfall, which started at noon yesterday and continued at night at regular intervals, was replaced by sleet in the morning.
Snow started to be effective again in the city, where the air temperature was measured at 2 degrees, as of noon. Citizens who went out to do their business had a hard time. Citizens sometimes had difficulty walking due to the effect of snow and wind.
Postcard-like images were created in Selimiye Square and the Mimar Sinan Statue due to the effect of the snow.

Özgül Sürü, one of the citizens who said that they were very happy with the snowfall, stated that there was very little snowfall last year and this year the farmers were lucky to have a lot of snow.
Edirne Police Department Traffic Registration and Inspection Branch teams also helped ensure traffic flow by working at busy points, especially the main arteries.
The temperature is expected to drop to 5 degrees below zero at night.
