Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will meet with the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, and with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, during his visit to Beijing from September 2 to 4, the Serbian presidency announced.
According to the announcement, he visits China at the invitation of President Xi Jinping and will also participate in commemorative events on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of victory in World War II.
During his visit to Beijing, President Vucic will meet with the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, as well as with other senior officials of the People’s Republic of China and representatives of large companies.
On September 3, China will hold a military parade to mark Japan’s official surrender during World War II.
The Chinese authorities also confirmed the participation of North Korean leaders, Belarus, Iran, Cuba, Indonesia, Myanmar, Pakistan and Malaysia among others.
According to the Balkan Radio Free Europe service, Vucic and Putin will discuss Russian-Serbian cooperation, including the energy sector.
Whereas Tanjung News Agency reports that a large military parade on the occasion of Victory Day will be held in China on September 3, in which, as Beijing previously announced, leaders of 26 countries have been invited.
