AK Party Local Governments Presidency organizes iftar organizations in the Balkans, Syria and Gaza during Ramadan.
AK Party Local Governments Presidency has initiated a comprehensive work for iftar organizations to be held in the Balkans, Syria and Gaza, as well as social solidarity activities in the country during Ramadan. With the organization and coordination of AK Party municipalities, regular iftar tables will be set up every day during Ramadan in the Balkans, Syria and Gaza. It is aimed to deliver hot meals to millions of people with abundance tables, to meet their basic food needs and to experience the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan together with sister communities.
AK Party Deputy Chairman Mustafa Demir announced that the unity, solidarity and brotherhood spirit of Ramadan will go beyond borders and move to the geography of the heart this year as well. Stating that the iftar tables set up all over Türkiye will be continued with a wider solidarity network this year, Demir also stated that large-scale organizations will be held in regions affected by war and humanitarian crises. Drawing attention to the severe humanitarian situation in Gaza, Demir emphasized that civilians struggling to survive under attacks will not be left alone under any circumstances. Demir stated that the scope of iftar and sahur programs established throughout Türkiye during the month of Ramadan will be further expanded, and that this circle of solidarity will be expanded to include Syria and Gaza. Demir noted that iftar programs will continue uninterruptedly during Ramadan in the Balkans, Gaza and Syria and reach large masses, and that the awareness of solidarity with oppressed geographies will be strongly demonstrated.
Emphasizing that solidarity knows no boundaries, Demir said, “As AK Party municipalities, we carry the tables we set all over Türkiye to our heartland. In this context, many of our municipalities will also organize iftar programs during Ramadan, along with the iftar programs held by Konya in the center of Damascus, Erzurum in the center of Damascus, Gaziantep in the center of Aleppo, Çorum in Rif Damascus Yarmuk, and Sultanbeyli in Bosnia-Herzegovina. We are setting up tables of abundance and tables of love through our municipalities in Syria and Gaza. We are also setting up iftar tents in Bulgaria, Greece and North Macedonia in the Balkans. Our Municipalities of Trabzon and Rize are setting up iftar tables in Batumi. We have started a mobilization to keep the spirit of unity, solidarity and solidarity of Ramadan alive with all our brothers and sisters, especially in the land of oppressed people who are subjected to systematic genocide by Israel. “We are setting up iftar tables in Gaza until the Eid.
