Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in his speech at the government cabinet meeting, accused Serbia of provoking Kosovo by allowing military training in the areas inhabited by Albanians in the municipality of Bujanoci and near the border with the country.
Kurti emphasized that Serbia uses the army as a tool of blackmail to keep the Balkan region in constant tension, while calling on the international factor to punish this destabilizing approach of Serbia.
“Such a show of military force on homes, schools, and medical centers is not only pressure, incitement of tension and an attempt to intimidate the residents there, who have been facing administrative ethnic cleansing by the autocratic Serbian regime for years, but also shows an open provocation against our independent state of the Republic of Kosovo.” Kurti declared.
These provocations near the border zone in Karaqevo, by the unit of the 66th brigade of paratroopers of Serbia, through exercises with an H125M helicopter and threats with a parachute, a few meters away from the border with the Republic of Kosovo, according to Kurti, constitute a dangerous display of aggression.
“This show becomes even more alarming when we remember that the same unit has trained and supported the group of the criminal Milan Radojčić, who carried out the aggressive terrorist attack in the village of Banjské in Zvečani, when they killed the police sergeant Afrim Bunjaku, the hero of Kosovo. These military movements combined with the inciting rhetoric of the president of Serbia, Vucic, that Serbia is preparing for a possible attack by an alliance Croatia- Albania-Kosovo, as well as the purchase of Chinese and Russian weapons confirm that Serbia is using the army as a tool of blackmail to keep the Balkan region in constant tension. he said.
