The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has stated that Kosovo will stand strongly alongside the United States of America in the fight against transnational organized crime, terrorism, drug cartels and criminal regimes.
In a recent statement, she announced that she has issued a presidential decree to fully harmonize the naming of foreign terrorist organizations from Kosovo with US President Donald Trump’s executive orders of January 2025.
These orders declare international drug cartels and criminal organizations as foreign terrorist organizations.
“Today, I have issued a presidential decree to fully harmonize the name of foreign terrorist organizations from Kosovo with the executive orders of President Donald Trump in January 2025, who have labeled a number of international drug cartels and other criminal organizations such as foreign terrorist organizations”President Osmani said.
She emphasized the importance of partnership with the US, adding that “History tells a simple truth: when America leads, there are more peace, more security and more freedom globally. Kosovo will always stand by the US to advance this vision and fight all those who endanger the security of our most important ally.”
This decree and statement by President Osmani underline Kosovo’s commitment to support US international initiatives in the fight against global threats, strengthening strategic cooperation between the two countries.
