Fuat Oktay, President of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Parliament, said that Türkiye is one of the main elements of stability in the Balkans.

Oktay, who came to the capital Tirana to make contacts in Albania, and his delegation were accepted by the European and Foreign Minister Igli Hasani on the second day of the visit.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s Albania, Albania Prime Minister Edi Rama also touched on the visits of Türkiye Oktay, mutual visits show that the two countries have strong relations, he said.

Emphasizing that the historical Ethem Bey Mosque in Tirana is a concrete indicator of Türkiye’s Albanian ties with Albania, Oktay said that Turks did not feel foreign in Albania and that Turkish tourists visited the region.

Meanwhile, Fuat Oktay visited the University of New York to the Turkish Maarif Foundation (TMV) and met with TMV Albanian administration and academicians and received information about the activities of TMV in the country.
