The iftar program organized by Manisa Balkans Culture and Solidarity Association brought together Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Besim Dutlulu and the delegation from Bulgaria. At the night where messages of unity and solidarity were given, it was emphasized that the aim was to further strengthen the relations between the two regions.
Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Besim Dutlulu, CHP Provincial Chairman İlksen Özalper, sister city Kırcaali Mayor Erol Mümün, Sliven Deputy Hüseyin Hafızov, Shumen Deputy Hamid Hamid, Cebel Mayor Necmi Ali and many citizens attended the iftar hosted by Manisa Balkans Culture and Solidarity Association.
Altan Hafızismailoğlu, President of Manisa Balkans Culture and Solidarity Association, thanked the guests and said, “The month of Ramadan strengthens the spirit of solidarity and unity of heart and makes us grateful for the blessings we have.”
“Our relations will become even stronger”
Stating that the power of unity and solidarity increases with the tables set during Ramadan, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Besim Dutlulu said that the unifying power of Ramadan and sharing plays an important role in bringing hearts together. Wishing everyone a happy Ramadan, Mayor Dutlulu said that he was happy to be at the iftar dinner of Manisa Balkans Culture and Solidarity Association. Mayor Dutlulu touched upon the importance of ties with Bulgaria and reminded of the sister city relations that have been ongoing since 2019. Stating that the meeting they held with Kırcaali Municipality and MPs from Bulgaria was extremely productive, Mayor Dutlulu said, “As Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, we are determined to further our relations with Bulgaria and Kırcaali every day.”
Kırcaali Mayor Erol Mümün expressed his happiness in sharing the iftar table and emphasized the importance of supporting each other as the Turkish community in good and bad times.
CHP Provincial Chairman İlksen Özalper expressed his gratitude to the association management, celebrated March 8 International Working Women’s Day and wished to come together at the same tables in the coming years. – MANİSA
