The spokesperson of the Central Election Commission, Valmir Elezi, informed that during Wednesday the counting of all ballots for the early elections for the new Assembly of Kosovo is expected to be completed. Meanwhile, after the update of the results from the counting centers, the Vetëvendosje Movement continues to lead with about 47% of the votes.
The party led by Albin Kurti has won another mandate, bringing the number of deputies to 53 in the new Kosovo Assembly, while the Democratic League of Kosovo has lost one mandate, falling to 18 deputies. The Democratic Party has retained 22 seats and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has 7 deputies so far.
While the final result of the elections remains open, the CEC informed that it has started the counting of ballots from the conditional voting held in 52 polling stations and has also begun the counting of ballots from the voting process of persons with special needs, carried out outside the polling stations.
The CEC has planned to announce the final results of the elections on June 26 and certify them by July 6, but the progress of the process will also depend on the complaints of the political parties after the counting of all the votes.
