Kosovo is considering the possibility of using liquid gas from the United States in the future through cooperation with Albania in the Vlora thermal power plant.
This is what the acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti declared, while they have been asked to accept that project for a long time.
“We are considering the possibility of using liquefied gas from the United States of America through cooperation with Albania in the Vlora thermal power plant. In addition to increasing local production, this project also has special significance for our relationship with the diaspora.”
The incumbent government of Kosovo has faced continuous calls from the American Embassy in Pristina, the economic leaders in the country as well as from the opposition to be included in the American liquefied natural gas supply network.
Earlier, the Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo called on the institutions of Kosovo to be involved in the regional liquefied gas projects, arguing that the rejection could have a negative impact on the partnership with the USA and the positioning of the country in regional energy developments.
