Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has called on migrants to register to vote in the October 12 local elections, stressing that their engagement is essential to the democratic process and well -being in municipalities.
In a message to the Diaspora, Kurti pointed out the important role that the diaspora has historically played in the country’s electoral processes.
“Now, with the local elections that are approaching, let the municipalities across Kosovo an example of our citizens, development and good governance,” he said.
Kurti stressed that the deadline for registration for voters abroad expires on August 29, encouraging them not to postpone this process. “Don’t leave it for tomorrow, sign up now,” He said.
According to the prime minister, the Diaspora vote is crucial to depart from power “Clans and those who see municipalities as private property” and to bring to the top of them “Honest and dedicated people working for citizens.”
