Iran: 12th day of fighting in the Middle East

Due to fears of escalation in the Middle East, oil prices rose on Monday, reaching the $120 per barrel mark. However, they gradually fell again after US President Donald Trump announced that the war with Iran is almost over.

On Tuesday, information appeared that in recent days Iran has started deploying sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz, which is key for the world’s oil and gas transport. In response, Trump threatened unprecedented strikes. Iran announced on Wednesday that it will switch from retaliatory strikes to continuous attacks, which it says will lead to a barrel of oil costing $200.
