The Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo has filed an indictment against Fatmir Sheholli, who is accused of two criminal offenses, “Espionage” and “Blackmail”. According to the indictment, Seholli, from an unspecified period until October 9, 2025, is suspected of acting as a person recruited by the Information Service of Serbia (BIA) and of assisting the activities of this service by implementing the orders and duties of its officials.
The Special Prosecutor’s Office claims that the defendant has collected, secured and forwarded through telephone communications data, information and documents related to political activities, the security situation and the functioning of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo. Sheholli is also accused of blackmail, for a period that, according to the indictment, extends from 2022 to December 2025.
According to the Prosecution, he is suspected of blackmailing the person with the initials AJ, forcing him to act to the detriment of his property in an amount that exceeds 13 thousand euros. In the indictment it is stated that Sheholli asked the injured party for money in the form of a loan and threatened him that, in case of non-payment, he would publish in the media video recordings and information that, according to the prosecution’s claim, would seriously damage his honor, reputation and authority.
The case has already been submitted for consideration to the Basic Court in Pristina. Meanwhile, Fatmir Sheholli is under detention.
