In France, Hitler and Zielinski will face each other in municipal elections

The first round of elections took place on Sunday. The current mayor Hittler took first place (37.81 percent), Annie Soucatová came second (32.20 percent) and Zielinski came third (29.99 percent). The second round of elections will take place next Sunday, and these three municipal politicians will compete in it, writes Le Figaro.

“This three-way race will be a treat for lovers of history and geopolitics: Hitler faces Zielinski in the second round of municipal elections. Names that are close in pronunciation to the names of the Nazi dictator and the Ukrainian president,” the newspaper states.

In his program, Hitler has “strengthening ties between residents and their security”, while Zielinski wants “the support of rural, authentic and territory-friendly tourism”.

Le Figaro further mentioned that the village of Arcis-sur-Aube is already known from the past, thanks to a battle during the Napoleonic Wars in 1814, which was one of the last major battles. At that time, the armies of Napoleon Bonaparte and Karl Filip Schwarzenberg faced each other.
