The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, who is currently acting as president after the resignation of Vjosa Osmani, has stated that the Assembly will follow the constitutional procedures for the election of the new president within the established deadlines.
In a reaction on Facebook, Haxhiu emphasized that the constitutional mechanisms guarantee continuity and institutional stability.
“I will exercise this responsibility with full commitment, guaranteeing uninterrupted functioning of the institutions and respect for the constitutional order,” she writes.
She added that until the conclusion of the process of electing the new president, she will exercise this duty in full respect of the Constitution, the law and the public interest.
In the end, Haxhiu thanked Vjosa Osmani for her service to the country and wished her continued success.
