As part of the tour in the Western Balkans, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will visit Kosovo this Wednesday (October 15).
Von der Leyen will meet with the president of the country, Vjosa Osmani, as well as with the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti.
According to the announcement of the Presidency, it should be noted that the meeting between the President of the EC and the head of state of Kosovo will take place at 13:00.
Von der Leyen started her visit to the Western Balkans with Tirana, where she held meetings with President Bajram Begaj and Prime Minister Edi Rama, while also participating in the EU-Albania Investment Forum.
Then Ursula von der Leyen traveled to Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, today in Kosovo, to close her tour the next day (October 16) with Skopje.
This is Von der Leyen’s first visit to the region during her second term, although she visited all six Western Balkan countries exactly one year ago, at the end of her first term.
