Drones suspected by Serbia have flown to Kosovo, Hoxha: We are in contact with KFOR

The Director General of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, has said he is in contact with KFOR regarding the cases of drone flights to the northern part of the country in recent days, allegedly coming from the territory of Serbia.

Hoxha stressed that KFOR is responsible for the airspace, and together they are monitoring the situation. According to him, the danger exists for the border, but not to the citizens.

“Lately we have had the drone flights that we are suspecting that they are coming from the territory of Serbia in northern Kosovo. The police are in contact with KFOR, we are monitoring and seeing what can be done. It is dangerous for the border yes, but for our citizens not.

Violation of Kosovo’s airspace by drones allegedly coming from Serbia, a few days ago, was confirmed by the acting interior minister, Xhelal Sveçla.
