“Don’t kill their happiness,” pianist Azem Haziri remembers the children killed in Kosovo by Munich

On the 18th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence, pianist Azem Haziri played Parashqevi Simaku’s song “don’t kill their happiness” in Munich, Germany, dedicated to the children killed in the Kosovo war.

Speaking about the show “Në Kohë Reale”, Haziri emphasized that through this episode he commemorated the 1432 children killed during the Kosovo war.

Among them, there is the figure of Leutrim Ahmeti, who was killed at the age of 7.

I grew up with a patriotic spirit and with the sacrifices of our people. And all my videos have the same purpose of patriotism.

This time I thought we should remember the 1432 children killed during the war. I thought in a different form to remember them.

On my T-shirt I also had a picture of Leutrim Ahmeti who was killed at the age of 7, who if he were alive today would be my age.

But unfortunately, the Serbian state did not allow 1432 children to live“, said Haziri.

Haziri further added that the citizens in Munich were surprised and were curious as he played on the piano part of the song by Parashqevi Simaku, “don’t kill their happiness”.
