The German Embassy in Pristina welcomed the election of Dimal Basha as head of the Kosovo Assembly.
With a reaction on the social network Facebook, the Embassy hopes that after the full constitution of the Assembly, Kosovo will continue its way to the formation of the new government.
“Congratulations Dimal Basha, the new Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo. I hope Kosovo is now able to move forward in the formation of institutions”, The message reads.
Political stalemate in Kosovo has repeatedly prompted the response of foreign embassies in Pristina, which called on political entities to find consensus on the rapid formation of the Assembly and the Government.
Unlocking the stalemate, for international, is essential for Kosovo to move forward with important reforms in all sectors.
Dimal Basha was elected to the head of the Assembly of Kosovo with 73 votes in favor, paving the way for the constitution of the Assembly and the formation of the new government. But today, MPs are expected to gather to elect the 5 vice presidents. By the appointment of 5 Vice Presidents, the Assembly of Kosovo reaches its full constitution.
