The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Dimal Basha held a meeting with President Vjosa Osmani regarding the non -institution of the Assembly of Kosovo.
Basha has requested the normal continuation of the work of the Assembly, stating that the non -election of the vice president by the Serbian community cannot block the functioning of institutions.
He stressed that there is pressure from the internationals on this issue as well.
“No logic to block the Assembly of the Republic due to the non -election of a vice president. We have five members in the Presidency. Continue leaking the deadline for setting the mandate and having functional institutions as citizens await us. We also have pressure and requests from friends internationals to continue the work of the Assembly”He said.
The first meeting of the Presidency of the Assembly was held today, called by the new President, Dimal Basha. The meeting was attended by Vice President Albulena Haxhiu and Vice President of Communities, Emilia Rexhepi, while missing PDK vice presidents.
The new presidency currently consists of President Dimalbasha, and vice presidents Albulena Haxhiu, Vlora Citaku, Kujtim Shala and Emilja Rexhepi.
