Commissioner Kos cancels her visit to Kosovo due to political developments

The European commissioner for enlargement, Marta Kos, has canceled her visit to Kosovo due to recent political developments and the institutional crisis the country has entered again. Kos communicated the news about the cancellation of the visit to Prime Minister Albin Kurti, European Commission officials said.

The press office of the European Commission announced that Commissioner Kos intends to travel to Pristina as soon as possible. Her visit was scheduled for the middle of this week.

European officials, meanwhile, have expressed regret for the recent political developments in Kosovo. They do not wish to comment further, as they are awaiting the final decision of the Constitutional Court regarding the decree of President Osamani.
