Commemoration activities were organized in the Balkans for 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day

Commemoration activities were held in Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Albania and Serbia due to “July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day”.

The ceremony in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, was held at the Embassy Residence hosted by Türkiye’s Ambassador to Pristine Sabri Tunç Angılı.

The ceremony, Kosovo Democratic Turkish Party (KDTP) President and Regional Development Minister Fikrim Damka, Kosovo for the future of the Alliance (AAK) Chairman Ramush Haradinaj, KDTP Deputy Fidan Brina Jilta’nın as well as Turkish, local and international institutions and organizations representatives attended.

Speaking at the ceremony that started with the stance of respect, reading of the national anthems and praying to the spirit of the martyrs, Ambassador Angılı said that the fight against Fetullahçı Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) continued with determination in Turkey and abroad.

Angılı said that the existence of FETÖ in Kosovo continues, “This insidious structure, which conceals itself with various masks, is a great danger to Kosovo. To develop and strengthen the solidarity between us and Kosovo against this threat, is the necessity of our brotherhood law as well as our friendship law.” he said.

Minister Damka said that they felt the challenging process of Türkiye in their hearts, “We did not only watch what happened in that dark night, with our prayers, our stance, our solidarity with Türkiye. he said.

On the other hand, on the occasion of the 15th of July Democracy and National Unity Day, Kosovo’s only Turkish Municipality commemorated in Mamuşa.

Northern Macedonia

The commemoration ceremony was held in Skopje, the capital of Northern Macedonia, on the occasion of the 15th of July Democracy and National Unity Day.

The ceremony was held by Türkiye’s Embassy in the Skopje, Northern Macedonia President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Field Planning İzet Mexhiti, Chief of General Staff Major General Saşko Lafçiski, Foreign Trade Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Foreign Affairs. (Religious Affairs) President Şakir Fetahu, ministers, deputies, mayors, heads of political parties in the country and representatives of the country, representatives of Turkish institutions and organizations and many guests attended.

Türkiye’s Ambassador to Skopje Fatih Ulusoy, in his speech here, FETÖ’nun 9 years after the treacherous coup attempt, reminding the martyrs to commemorate and remember the struggle for democracy of the heroic Turkish nation, he said.

Ulusoy, the July 15 coup attempt, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish people were left without an endless stance, “July 15 is the victory of the nation.” he said.

The commemoration ceremony was held in Tirana, the capital of Albania, on the occasion of the 15th of July Democracy and National Unity Day.

The ceremony was held by the Turkish Embassy in Tirana in the Great Lake Park in Tirana in the July 15 Martyrs Monument, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Tirana Tayyar Kağan Atay, representatives of Turkish institutions and organizations in the country, Turkish and Albanian citizens and guests.

Serbia

Saygılı said that democracy was wanted to be eliminated on the night of July 15 in Türkiye and said, “The world is rare in the history of democracy, perhaps the political view that will not be encountered in a way that will not be encountered, regardless of the ethnic identity, millions of citizens gathered in the squares with the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and claimed their countries.” he said.

Saygılı recalled that thousands of people in Serbia kept a vigil of democracy that night and thanked him for his support to Serbia, the most powerful country in the Balkans in the Balkans.
