The preliminary results of the early parliamentary elections in Kosovo show that the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) has maintained its position as the most voted entity in the country, while the ranking of the main political forces remains unchanged compared to the previous elections.
After the counting of 99.40% of the polling stations, Lävizja Vetëvendosje secured 42.92% of the votes, remaining the dominant force in the political scene. In second place is the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) with 21.06%, while the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) received 17.61% of voter support.
The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) managed to secure 7.18 percent of the votes, maintaining its parliamentary presence.
On the other hand, the Social Democratic Party (PSD) has not managed to cross the threshold for representation in the Assembly. According to the results so far, this party has received only 0.27 percent of the votes, or less than two thousand votes nationwide.
The elections were also characterized by a lower participation of citizens compared to the last election process. 36.38% of voters used the right to vote, while in the December 2025 elections, participation was 44.99%. This translates into about 200,000 fewer voters at the ballot boxes.
Although the current results give a clear picture of the party’s ranking, the counting process is not yet fully completed. In the following days, the votes of the diaspora, conditional votes and those of persons with special needs will be counted.
According to official data, about 130 thousand citizens of Kosovo registered abroad have voted through different forms of voting. Their votes are expected to have an impact on the final distribution of mandates in the Assembly of Kosovo.
