Members of the Bulgarian-Turkish Business People Association (BULTİŞ) came together with the members of the Board of Directors of the Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ETSO) at a meeting.
According to the statement made by ETSO, Turkish and Bulgarian business people operating in different sectors held bilateral business meetings at the meeting.
ETSO President Sezai Irmak, whose views were included in the statement, stated that sectoral investments and possible projects were discussed in the meetings.
Stating that a productive meeting was held, Irmak noted the following:
“With BULTİŞ, we tried to open the way to the Balkans for our business people serving in our province. We were the first to visit the association. They paid us a very useful and comprehensive visit. We aim to strengthen the intercultural socio-economic structure, pave the way for our exports with the contributions of our business people, increase the trade volume of our countries and carry out successful collaborations in the field of industry.”
World No Tobacco Day
Green Crescent Edirne Branch President Müzekka Bayrak stated that tobacco products and electronic cigarettes pose a risk to public health.
Bayrak, in his statement on World No Tobacco Day, stated that smoking causes many diseases.
Bayrak stated that the “You can quit” mobile application, which was implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, provided the support needed for those who want to get rid of tobacco addiction, and called on people to quit smoking.
Bayrak, who stated that Yeşilay is fighting against addictions, said, “It provides free outpatient psychosocial support services to addicted individuals and their relatives with Yeşilay Counseling Centers (YEDAM) established in 2015. There are a total of 107 YEDAMs in 81 provinces of Turkey and the TRNC.”
