Bedri Hamza in the race for the head of the PDK – the first candidate to announce his candidacy from that party

“With responsibility and faith in the future of our party, he announced his candidacy for the chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo”.

This was the announcement made by Bedri Hamza, announcing that he will be part of the race on November 17 when the general convention of this party meets. He is the first official from PDK who has announced his candidacy to lead the party, after the resignation of Memli Karasniqi.

Hamza, who was PDK’s candidate for prime minister in the February 9 parliamentary elections, said he believes that the party he belongs to has the strength to unify, reform and return as the main force in the country.

Now is the time for a united PDK, fighting for justice, development and a European Kosovo. PDK is our family and together we will open the new chapter of victories“, he emphasized.

Bedi Hamza was previously the Minister of Finance and Economy, deputy in the preliminary legislatures of the Assembly of Kosovo and governor of the Central Bank.

Krasniqi announced his resignation as chairman of PDK on Wednesday, saying that the time has come for the party to be given a breath and a new opportunity for the future. He said that Hamza would have his full support if he ran to succeed him in the post.
