Back off, I’m American. The Kuwaiti went to the ejected pilot with a pipe in his hand

Footage on social networks shows a group of men approaching the American pilot and shouting something at him. “Back off. Stop,” says the American pilot, who is approached by a man with a metal pipe in his hand.

According to the Daily Mail, the tense situation calmed down only after the pilot said he was from the United States. “Back off, I’m an American,” he declares, resolving the potential conflict.

The Australian server News.com.au reported that the Kuwaiti was probably afraid that it was an Iranian pilot.

The American pilot was on board one of the three planes that were accidentally shot down by the Kuwaiti army on Monday. Nothing happened to any of the six crew members, they all managed to eject successfully.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense then let it be known that, in cooperation with the USA, it is trying to find out the “circumstances” of the incident, which it will then investigate.

“Several US military aircraft crashed this morning. We confirm that all crew members survived. Authorities immediately launched search and rescue operations, evacuated the crews and transported them to a hospital for medical examination and treatment. Their condition is stable,” said a Kuwaiti military spokesman.
