Another mass grave of the victims of the war in Kosovo has been discovered in the village of Jabukë in the municipality of Zubin-Potoku. The news was announced by the acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Sveçla. According to him, the discovery comes only a few days after another mass grave was found in the village of Kalludër of the same municipality, where searches and tracing are still ongoing.
“After finding the remains in a mass grave in Kalludër of Zubin-Potoku, where the search and tracking are still continuing, today, just 10 kilometers away, in the village of Jabukë of the same municipality, another mass grave was found with the remains of the victims of the last war in Kosovo. I thank the Kosovo Police, the relevant units for the investigation of war crimes, the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, the Institute of Forensic Medicine and the Kosovo Prosecutor’s Office for the work undertaken in terms of research, investigation and identification of these locations”. writes on the Facebook social network, Sweden.
In his response, the minister accused Serbia of continuing to refuse cooperation in clarifying the fate of persons who disappeared during the war in Kosovo.
“Serbia continues to remain the same in form and content. This state refuses to provide information about persons who have disappeared by violence, while threatening and imprisoning its citizens who cooperate in finding these graves.” he declared as he emphasized that Kosovo’s institutions will continue the search for clarifying the fate of all persons killed and disappeared during the war, as well as for bringing those responsible for war crimes to justice.
