Another explosion in Lebanon. The radios exploded after the pagers

According to the BBC, the Lebanese state agency NNA reported that at least three people were killed by the explosion of a “device” in the village of Sohmar in the Bikaa Valley in the south of the country.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, a total of 20 people died and another 450 were injured.

At least one device exploded near the funeral of the victims of Tuesday’s attack. Referring to local sources, AFP and Reuters inform about it. Other explosions were also recorded in the city of Týros. Radios were supposed to explode in at least four cars.

The radios were purchased by Hezbollah members five months ago, around the same time as the pagers that exploded on Tuesday, a security source told Reuters.

As many as 3,000 members of the Shiite Lebanese movement Hezbollah were injured in explosions of pagers, small communication devices, on Tuesday, and 12 people were killed. Israel is to blame for the explosions, but it refused to comment on the situation.

Taiwanese firm Gold Apollo claims that the pagers that exploded in Lebanon on Tuesday were manufactured by Budapest-based BAC Consulting. According to the AP agency, Gold Apollo said on Wednesday that it had a contract with this Hungarian company that authorized it to use its brand. However, according to Budapest, BAC Consulting does not have any factories in Hungary and the aforementioned facilities have never been on Hungarian territory.

Hezbollah is a key ally of Iran and the Palestinian terrorist movement Hamas, as well as the most powerful military force in Lebanon.

After Wednesday’s explosions in Lebanon, the Israeli army announced that Hezbollah fired about 20 rockets at the village of Kiryat Shmona in the north of the Jewish state, the Times of Israel website reported, adding that no injuries were reported and the Israeli army claimed to have intercepted some of the missiles. Hezbollah claims that the attack was aimed at an Israeli military base.
