A “Salutation to Hazrat Ali” recital was held in Edirne, within the scope of the International Symposium on Alevism and Bektashism in the Balkans.
In the concert held within the scope of the symposium organized at the Balkan Congress Center by Edirne Governorship, Trakya University, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Alevi-Bektashi Culture and Cemevi Presidency and Balkan Cities Cooperation Edirne Platform, voice and instrumental artists of the General Directorate of Fine Arts sang sayings, hymns, breaths and elegies.
Nalan Höke Turan’s narration was accompanied by soloists Nahide Saygün Akkal, Ertan Çıngı, Sercan Direk.
In one part of the concert, Ömer Faruk Belviranlı, General Director of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, also took the stage and sang the hymn “Ali took his flag in his hand” in the Hüseyni maqam with the breath of “The victims were crocheted and the Gülbank was drawn”.
At the end of the concert, Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer thanked Belviranlı and presented her with a coffee cup set and a gift set containing Edirne local products, and gave flowers to the soloists.
Dinletiye, Trakya University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Hatipler, Tax Court President Yaşar Erdem, Deputy Governors Turgut Subaşı and Eyyüp Batuhan Ciğerci, Edirne Police Chief Onur Karaburun, Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Kemal Soytürk, academics, opinion and belief leaders and citizens attended.
