In total, Yilma was convicted of four cases of voyeurism, three cases of taking indecent images of a child, one case of possession of prohibited images of children and two cases of producing indecent images of children, recapitulates in the official statement of the Devon and Cornwall County Police. He confessed to all these acts in November.
IT expert Yilma watched the boys with carefully constructed hidden cameras that allowed him to watch them even in private. He later placed the cameras directly at an unnamed educational facility in Suffolk, where he was employed. At least one of his cameras was hidden in a Wi-Fi router and another in a box of cotton buds.
That he was watching the boy was revealed when someone noticed a live feed from one of the cameras on his tablet. The police were immediately called to the scene, and they found a large number of secretly filmed footage and footage of child abuse that he watched on the so-called dark web.

Yilma had planned to return to the Czech Republic and establish a boys’ school in the country. The English judge therefore also told him that he hopes that he will never achieve this goal. Yilma was previously involved in projects related to the home school in the Czech Republic.
“My thoughts today are mainly with those affected by the actions of David Yilma. Their trust was violated by the person who was supposed to protect them. David Yilma abused children for his own sexual gratification and I welcome the sentence that the judge handed down today,” said investigating officer Natalie Mawson about the case.
