The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has received a congratulatory letter from the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Andy Burnham, who has reaffirmed the British state’s support for Kosovo and the partnership between the two countries.
In his letter, Burnham emphasized that the United Kingdom and Kosovo have a long and close partnership, recalling that Britain was among the first countries to recognize Kosovo’s independence.
He has expressed unwavering support for the development of Kosovo as a sovereign, independent and multi-ethnic state, as well as for cooperation in promoting stability and security in Europe.
The British Prime Minister has also emphasized the importance of international justice, accountability and the rule of law as essential elements for achieving lasting reconciliation in the region.
At the end of the letter, Burnham has expressed his willingness to expand cooperation with Kosovo in areas of common interest, including economic development and the fight against serious organized crime.
