Eskişehir Governor Erdinç Yılmaz attended the 10th International Seyyid Sultan Sücaaddin Veli commemoration events.
The program, held at the Seyyid Sultan Sücaaddin Veli Complex in the Arslanbeyli District of Seyitgazi district, started with Governor Yılmaz, Alevi-Bektashi Culture and Cemevi President Esma Ersin and their entourage visiting the Seyyid Sultan Sücaaddin Veli tomb.
Following the moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, the opening prayer was made by Seyyid Sultan Sücaaddin Veli Postmaster Mehmet Demirtaş.
Speaking in the program, Governor Yılmaz stated that His Excellency Sultan Sücaaddin Veli has an important place in the spiritual life of Anatolia and the Balkans.
Yılmaz emphasized that the journey of the heart from Khorasan to Anatolia does not only mean making a geography a homeland, but also the spread of justice, mercy, brotherhood and love.
Emphasizing that Sultan Sücaaddin Veli was one of the important representatives of the understanding of civilization extending from Anatolia to the Balkans through knowledge, wisdom and heart, Yılmaz noted that tolerance, culture of living together and understanding of brotherhood were carried to wide geographies through the students he raised and the dervish lodges he founded.
Yılmaz stated that the Sultan Sücaaddin Veli Complex is an important spiritual bridge between Anatolia and the Balkans, and stated that it is important to protect its heritage, protect historical structures, as well as keep alive the understanding of love, tolerance, unity and solidarity it represents.
Metropolitan Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce, Seyitgazi Mayor Uğur Tepe and other relevant persons and citizens also attended the program, where Alevi-Bektashi Culture and Cemevi President Esma Ersin gave a speech.
